With the Metropolitan door style, you can achieve the modern or contemporary kitchen and bath of your dreams. Stained finishes in the Metropolitan door consist of a 3/4″ thick substrate with a wood veneer and matching edge-banding. NOTE: Wood veneers can vary significantly in grain appearance and color from one sheet of veneer to the next. As such, variation in grain and color on the Metropolitan door may be more noticeable from one door to another than with more traditional door styles. This variation is considered typical of veneer and should be considered before purchasing this door style.
Painted finishes using the Metropolitan door will be solid MDF.
Natural finishes, Olde World finishes, and the Aging Technique are not available on the Metropolitan door style.
Flat panel doors feature five-piece construction and appeal to those wanting simpler lines and a more contemporary look. Shiloh Cabinetry makes each flat panel door in-house, to ensure quality and consistency. Stained finishes feature all-hardwood construction and will vary in graining and color according to the typical tendencies of the wood species. Painted doors will have an MDF center panel to limit movement during the seasonal changes and provide a more suitable substrate for painting.

Wood frame doors for glass are available in multiple styles, from simple to elaborate. Wood mullion doors are available in most wood species and finishes, with custom sizing available. Our wood mullion doors are prepped to accept glass, but glass is not included or available from Shiloh Cabinetry. Due to some of the patterns, there are some size restrictions depending on the style selected. Visit a retailer for availability.
Aluminum frame doors are available with a Natural Aluminum or Brushed Stainless Look in multiple styles. All of Shiloh’s aluminum frame doors feature five glass options to choose from: Clear, Satin, Smoked, Reeded or Listral. Visit a retailer for more information.
Raised panel doors feature five-piece construction and have a long history in cabinet making with their timeless appearance. Shiloh Cabinetry builds each raised panel door in-house, to ensure quality and consistency. Stained finishes feature all-hardwood construction and will vary in graining and color according to the typical tendencies of the wood species. Painted doors will have an MDF center panel to limit movement during the seasonal changes and provide a more suitable substrate for painting.
One-Piece MDF doors feature one-piece construction of solid MDF. Shiloh Cabinetry makes each one-piece door in-house, to ensure quality and consistency. Only available with painted finishes.
Cabinet Construction
- Solid wood hanging rail for secure fastening to wall.
- Solid wood corner blocks in base cabinets add strength and stability.
- 5/8″ hardwood dovetail drawer box standard (3/4″ hardwood dovetail drawer box available).
- Guides are Blum TANDEM edge 7/8″ extension with integrated BLUMOTION soft closing mechanism standard (optional Blum Tandem full extension guides with integrated BLUMOTION soft closing mechanism).
- Solid wood door (Except painted and Metropolitan doors).
- Durable and easy-to-clean interior.
- 3/4″ plywood adjustable shelving with solid metal shelf clips.
- 1 1/2″ wide solid wood frames.
- 3/8″ plywood top (on wall cabinets) and bottom.
- Catalyzed conversion varnish topcoat that is smooth, very durable and resistant to most household chemicals.
- 1/2″ plywood sides with finished ends that feature matching hardwood veneer on 1/4″ substrate panel for a great look and outstanding quality.
- Blum CLIP top BLUmotion, 6-way adjustable, soft-close, concealed hinges in standard or full overlay and flush or beaded inset (3/8” partial inset uses knife hinge that does not soft-close)
